Red Kitty is a female, eight year old, indoor only, eight pound, red Persian. She is not wearing a collar and she is not microchipped.
Her person said that he has only had Red Kitty for about ten months after he got her from his mom, whose dog was not getting along with Red Kitty. Prior to that, Red Kitty was from a breeder who could not longer care for her cats.
Red Kitty got out of the house on a Sunday night somewhere between 5:30 PM and midnight by accident when some friends came over to the home while her person was out for a few hours, but her person was not informed that Red Kitty had left the house until he got home close to midnight and could not find her. He said he look all over the 48 acre property, which is a combination of forests, ponds and wildlife trails.
There were no sightings of her after she went missing. We came out seven days later on a Tuesday.
After doing an extensive search of the perimeter, we found the track leading out of the property, down the foot trail to the main house and main road. Before getting to the main house, it veered off to the right and went around the forested area, which appeared to be a bear path. I learned that bear paths look like a giant boulder rolled through the forest, crushing everything all around. It was very clear where a bear had been. Red Kitty's person said that bears are common on his property, and have never been aggressive to him, usually just coming around for food. He assured me that, with Dino, the bears would leave us alone.
Red Kitty's person had consulted with an animal communicator prior to my arrival, and this person said that Red Kitty had spent some time on Tsunami Road, outside the property, which is one of the areas where we found her track.
The track eventually left the vast neighborhood and went out to the more busy road, but then darted in and out of various roads along the way, all the way into downtown Crescent City, several miles from her home. By the track, it was obvious that Red Kitty was walking alone, and not being carried or in a car.
He said he would continue to look for her.

Due to a temporary GPS/phone/battery issue, which has since been resolved, the GPS map stopped within the first hour of the search, but continued all around the "neighborhood" of large multi-acre, isolated, rural forest properties, which were on dirt, gravel and paved roads.
