"Polar Bear," Bichon/Poodle Mix, White, San Francisco

Search Details:

Polar Bear is an all white, one year old, neutered, 15 pound, Bichon/Terrier mix. When he went missing he was wearing a collar with his current ID tags and he was microchipped. 

Polar Bear got out of the house accidentally when the front door got left open by some visitors. There were multiple sightings of Polar Bear in the area surrounding the house for a half mile around, but Polar Bear was so scared and run quickly from each person. 

Polar Bear went missing on Friday, January 3rd. and we were called out on January 8th to to the search. 

We started the search from the most current sighting. We picked up the track away from the area, through a local park and then down past an elementary school, past a creek and then toward Lake Merced. The track went around Lake Merced and then turned into Fort Funston dog park. The track eventually left Fort Funston and out onto Skyline Blvd and down John Daly Blvd in Daly City. 

The search was called off by Polar Bear's person at the five hour mark. She said she would continue to look for him.
