"NeNe," Miniature Poodle, White, San Jose

_______________________________________________________________________

Search Details:

NeNe is a ten month old, male, unneutered, white/cream colored Poodle. When he went missing he was not wearing a collar, but he was microchipped.

By accident he got out of a back door to the home into the back yard which was not fenced. Earlier in the day, he got out and was returned soon by a nearby neighbor.

There were no sightings of NeNe after he went missing the second time.

NeNe was missing for four days when we were called out to do the search.

We found a track leading out of the neighborhood and down the street, which eventually turned into a very large county park and continued to follow the perimeter of the park on the outside for several miles. At the end of the park, it turned around and went back on the outside of the park.

The search was stopped at the four hour mark by NeNe's person and she said she would continue to look for him.

"Tucker," Labrador, Black, Concord

__________________________________________________________________________

Search Details:

Tucker is a five year old, 75 pound, black Labrador. When he went missing he was wearing a blue nylon collar with ID tags.

Tucker went missing while he was staying at his person's father's home while he person was out of town for a few days. It appears Tucker broke a couple of boards in the fence and when somebody came home, they found Tucker missing.

There was a single sighting of Tucker several blocks away later the night he went missing. We started the search from there. We followed the track around for four hours in an area, and even Tucker was sighted nearby while we were following his track. We got to that location as quickly as possible with other family members, but Tucker was not seen.

The search was stopped at the four hour mark, and they said they would continue to look for Tucker.

"Catarino," Chihuahua, Tan, East Palo Alto

_____________________________________________________________________________

Search Details:

Catarino is an unneutered, tan and white, eight month old, six pound Chihuahua. When he went missing he was not wearing a collar and he was not microchipped, but he was wearing a blue harness.

Catarino went missing from his person's mom's home after his person dropped him off before going to work. She had done this exact same thing for several months prior, and Catarino never took off. For some unknown reason, Catarino left the yard from a very small hole in the side fence.

There were a couple of sightings of Catarino in the local neighborhood the day he went missing, but no sightings after that first day.

We started from the most recent sighting and followed the scent all around East Palo Alto and eventually to a distant hiking/biking trail. The search was stopped by Catarino's person at the four hour mark, and she said she would continue to search for him.
