"Paco," Australian Cattle Dog Mix, Red and White, San Jose - Found!

Search details:

Paco is a 13 month old, 22 pound, red and white, short coated Australian Cattle Dog. When he went missing he was wearing a collar with current ID tags and he was microchipped.

Paco became lost when he got scared by contractors coming into the yard during the day when his person wasn't home.

Paco went missing on Friday, January 17 and we did the search on the following Monday, January 20.

There were no sightings of him after he went missing.

Dino picked up the track leading away from the house and down the street. Within a short time, Paco got onto a local walking/hiking trail that took him quickly out of the area and into other area. Eventually, Paco did return to near the home within a few block but then kept going.

The search was stopped at the five hour mark by Paco's people. They said they would continue to look for him.

The following day I received this text message at 5:15 PM:

"We got Paco back today!!!! Thank you!!!!!

My response: "Excellent!!! Where was he found?"

"At Almaden Lake! The flyers worked!!"

My response: "Great! I found it on the map. Who found him?"

I did not receive a response back so I don't know more about who found him or the circumstances. Almaden Lake is south of where we stopped the search in San Jose.
